A few of you know already, but here’s the wider announcement:

I’ve been named Director of Digital Product Development & Strategy at Crain Communications. The Crain empire includes city business journals in Chicago, New York, Detroit and Cleveland, plus brands such as Autoweek and Advertising Age.

I’ll be working on some top-secret projects, but I can share that I will “identify opportunities and lead the development of new Web, app, mobile and social products to expand Crain’s digital footprint.”

More from the release:

“Rob is a story-teller at heart and that’s what will enable him to help us develop new digital products that our readers will find deeply engaging,” said KC Crain, executive VP/director of corporate operations. “Our mission is to give our readers the news and information they need to help them succeed in their professional lives. Rob will help us put that content in front of them in new and exciting ways.”

I couldn’t be more excited!

In this edition of The Big Questions, Bulldog talks about the culture of motorcycle clubs, TV’s “Sons of Anarchy” and what happens when your exterior doesn’t reflect your interior.
